Action: Approved the purchase of: school buses, middle school athletic uniforms, band instruments, and middle school cafeteria seating.
Purpose: The purchase of these items are needed for the 2024-25 school year to accommodate growth and obsolescence.
Action: Approved the contract for the wide area network fiber construction and service project.
Purpose: This project will provide a new and improved fiber infrastructure district-wide.
Action: Accepted the certification of an unopposed candidate for Single Member District #2.
Purpose: The school board has accepted Joe Biediger as the unopposed candidate for Single Member District #2. His term on the school board will begin when the current board member for SMD #2, Beth Zinsmeyer's term expires in May.
Action: Adopted an order to cancel the May 4, 2024 trustee election for Single Member District #1, which did not receive any candidates, and Single Member District #2 which received one candidate.
Purpose: With no candidates applying for SMD #1, and Joe Biediger being the unopposed candidate for SMD #2, there is no need for a trustee election on May 4, 2024.
